The festive season has officially started, with Christmas lights, holiday offers, gingerbread craving, and my beloved Christmas fairs throughout Europe. (The Christmas fairs in Budapest, Vienna, and Winter Wonderland in London are a must!) This is my favourite season, and my favourite month have just started, so I just couldn’t be happier! But – I must point out – apart from building gingerbread houses there are many more cool things to do  during the last weeks of 2013. Here is a little round-up of this month’s events around the world, with some present-shopping tips, too! Enjoy! Oh, and be prepared for our Holiday-themed articles, woohoo!

As organisers states: “Swahili Fashion Week is a fast growing platform for fashion and accessory designers from Swahili speaking countries and the African continent to showcase their talent.”  The 3-day-long fashion extragavanza with more than 30 designers showcasing their creations is a great opportunity for African designers to show their talent to the world. It’s also a good opportunity for international press and buyers, and for fashion lovers to get to know them. A must if you happen to be near Tanzania! The event is open to everyone, you just have to buy ticket! Moreover, there will be a Pop-up store at the Canadian High Commissioners Residence where the designers’ works are available to buy!

Creative Arts Fair, Museum of Applied Arts, Budapest, Hungary, 6-8 December

via IMM.hu

As a Budapest native, this is one of my favourite art fairs during the holiday season in my city! Apart from the venue, the truly beautiful secessionist building, you can find some of the most ethereal creations of true Hungarian contemporary artists. It’s a good programme even if you don’t want to buy anything, just look around. It’s like a little exhibition of clothes, jewellery, accessories, pottery, and many more Holiday essentials like wrapping papers from more than 100 artists.

One of the most anticipated annual fashion event is on the doorway! Tune in to CBS on December 10, and be part of the miracle! After looking at the photos it will surely be an amazing programme! Oh, and I heard Angels do Ballett Beautiful… Well, I tried it, too, it aches as hell, but works!

SEASONAL SALES START, throughout the world, check your local stores for details  – 27 December

via mademoisellebonplan.fr

Apart from writing my Christmas wishlist I have already started to plan what to buy at the sales this year. A well-cut coat or two maybe, a dress for NYE, and I will be happy. Don’t forget to be on time, as Selfridges opens at 9 AM for example, whereas Harrods and Harvey Nichols in London at 10 AM. Inditex group AKA Zara and almost all of the high-street stores starts their sales that time, too.

New Years Eve – 31 December

via ritholtz.com

Two words: Party and Booze. Okay, maybe booze and booze. My plan: stay inside somewhere warm, drink a lot and don’t do anything that may embarrass anyone, precisely me, during the whole decade. Idea for girl parties: karaoke for Mamma Mia! and a bottle (or two) of Jack Daniels Tennessee Honey. Why is this a fashionable event? Beceause it’s an excuse for many of us to buy some new stuff to wear!;)

I hope you will find somewhere nice to go this month, too!:)
